Collaboration with The Heritage Crafter
I have the pleasure of presenting these beautiful spindle whorls hand painted by the magical Kerri Williams.
Kerri & I wanted to make a batch of tools that represent both our heritage crafts, whist also acknowledging tools as objects of beauty and cultural artefacts in their own right; painted in matte chalk-based paints and unvarnished;
featuring the large Kromski drop spindle with my extra-large hook adaption for spinning chunky yarns, plus two ways to use this spindle as both a classic drop spindle and as a thigh spindle (the hook is removable especially for this technique).
