Hand blended and hand spun rare breed British wools; North Ronaldsay (Isle of Auskerry), Leicester Long Wool, with Tibetan Yak and wild harvested golden Muga silk.
On a warp of softest British alpaca.
This is a soft, heavy textile, densely woven in a range of techniques I’ve developed to emphasise texture and depth.
This piece is more substantial in handle due to the triple-plied yarn I’ve been working on (chain plied in the traditional Navajo / Diné way).
Wet finished, so can be safely cold wet finished again in the future.
