This is to purchase a subscription to the July 2022 Yarn Club! Welcome & here’s how it works;

This is a one-off purchase for a limited edition skein of my signature batch-spun yarn in the month of July.

*The base shade will be a pearly grey North Ronaldsay with warm mink-deep-grey depths and gilded silk lights. *

There will be two sizes available, & printed dust bag included;

10 metres (approx 80-85g) £30
20 metres (approx 160-170g) £60

My yarn aesthetic is;

Hand spun
Triple-chain spindle ply in the Diné way (honouring elder teacher Clara Sherman)
Textured bulky/slubby with lock inclusions
Natural undyed neutrals
Hand blended & shaded ethical wools (UK rare breed)
Wild peace silk inclusions (usually golden Muga or Tuhassah)

(Image is an example of my current Selkie Skein shading, a warm oatmeal-mauve, available through June as a limited edition)

Yarn care;
I warm soak in a botanical wool wash, hang and weight the yarn for a day to balance and release any excess spin, this means it is perfect for weaving and mixing with other yarns (I recommend to pre-treat all skeins belonging to one project in this way to ensure an even weave).

I don’t use scissors on my yarn; cut ends always push out of a work; instead I gently open the yarn and pull apart the fibres, and then wet the tips and overlay the next thread ontop with about a 3-inch overlap; invisible join!

Each skein is batch-spun start to finish, never cut from a larger skein; this honours the work as a project in its own right.

Please note;
Postage is currently very high outside the UK;
Small international parcel is £14 as standard now for Australia/USA/Canada, this is on a 20m skein *
